Meiring, who earned two caps for the South African national team, was a well-respected figure in South African football, having played for top clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows, Jomo Cosmos, Golden Arrows, and Hellenic during his career.

After retiring from professional football over a decade ago, Meiring continued to contribute to the sport by working as a youth coach. He was involved with several clubs, including Lusa Africa, where he mentored young talents across various levels, from juniors to senior teams, and even the women’s side.
